The PDO Thread Lift is a revolutionary newer treatment in the world of aesthetics, but PDO threads themselves have been used safely for decades for various applications, like suturing incisions after medical procedures.
What are PDO Threads?
How do PDO Threads work?
When injected into the tissues of the body, your body reacts by producing collagen. This collagen is what gives skin a firm, youthful appearance which yields fewer lines, wrinkles, and healthier skin.
Types of PDO Threads
Basically, there are 3 types of PDO threads. First, there are smooth threads. These smooth threads aid in smoothing out crepey skin. They can be used anywhere you want to firm up skin that “Pleats” when squeezed. We like to use them near the mouth, above brows, arms, thighs, knees, abdomen, hands etc.
Secondly, there are barbed threads. These will actually lift and re-direct sagging tissue. The barbs can produce a result similar to a mini facelift by lifting the mid face, jowls, jawline, forehead-brows, retract the turkey neck, as well as lifting the tip of the nose and defining the nasal bridge.
Lastly there are corkscrew threads. These are injected into deep lines to build collagen and fill the lines from the inside out. They work well for frown lines, sleep lines on the forehead, smile lines, cleavage lines and deep crows feet.
Kiss Me Med Spa was first in Fresno to bring the barbed threads to the community.
